Scott McClellan Is A Complicit Punk

I was just reading the story at Yahoo News, about the self-serving little creep, Scott McClellan, who now writes about his time at the White House. Does he do so, to ease his conscience? For Money? For whatever reason~~It doesn't matter. He is nothing but a punk who knew he was doing the wrong thing, by assisting the President in creating an atmosphere for War in Iraq, and held his tongue, only now to come out with a book, lambasting his former colleagues, and deserves nothing but disdain from "US" the people he betrayed for expediency!! His memoir is too late for those who have died, and he surely has "their" blood on his hands, just as does the President, and everyone who was complicit in this War~~May They All Burn In Hell!!

Former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan writes in a new memoir that President Bush relied on an aggressive "political propaganda campaign" instead of the truth to sell the Iraq war, and that the decision to invade pushed Bush's presidency "terribly off course.'


The Bush White House made "a decision to turn away from candor and honesty when those qualities were most needed" — a time when the nation was on the brink of war, McClellan writes in the book entitled "What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception."


The way Bush managed the Iraq issue "almost guaranteed that the use of force would become the only feasible option." "In the permanent campaign era, it was all about manipulating sources of public opinion to the president's advantage," McClellan writes.

9/11 Series PART I

This is the day that we shall begin taking a long delayed look back at 9/11, and the tragedies that have come about, because of that fateful day. As I have been looking through numerous websites, articles, and books, I have found this to be one of the hardest things I have ever written about, because it brings up so many conflicting feelings.

I think I am probably pretty typical (of the people who believed the official version) i.e. on September 11th, 2001. You Know "Osama bin-Laden's "boys", hijacked four airliners and proceeded to fly three of them into buildings, thus attacking "The Great Satan" America, as was their mission". I know how I felt as I watched the planes hit the Twin Towers, and the collapse of those Towers. It was the most terrible thing that I have ever watched on Live T.V., and I knew that our world would never be the same.

I threw my allegiance behind those who wanted revenge, and backed Bush's plan to remove the Taliban from power in Afghanistan, and hunt down Osama bin-Laden, and kill him for his attack. I had a young lady friend, who was a pilot out of New York, and I was unable to reach her for nearly a week, as the system was in such bad shape, so much of my early anger was misplaced worry about her safety. I even remember hearing stories of muslims being attacked and was glad that they were, I even did the whole boycott France thing, when they didn't back our war plan, and called French Fries~~Freedom Fries~~just like O'Reilly wanted us too!!

I never did really support a war in Iraq, and couldn't understand why V.P. Cheney and President Bush maade every effort to equate 9/11 with Iraq. Now I did support removing Saddam, but I felt that it should have been done when he was gassing the Kurds~but at that time he was Reagan's "Buddy", so he was allowed to butcher at will.

I have always believed that Iraq was merely "payback" for Bush senior having lost the election, after letting Saddam and Iraq, off the hook after we kicked them out of Kuwait, and George junior thought it would be a cakewalk.

Over the years I have watched shows on the Truth of 9/11 and the "Truth of 9/11 conspiracies", and have always come down on the side of the Official Truth. I have a great deal of difficulty in believing in a Giant Government Conspiracy in regards to 9/11, and the downing of the Twin Towers, because frankly, this President cannot even spell conspiracy, let alone be so nimble of mind as to trick us with an "attack" actually perpetrated from within the government, or even a "real" enemy being allowed to attack us, like the supposed foreknowledge of the Pearl Harbor attack by Franklin Roosevelt!!

However, after all the things that we have been lied to by this President and this administration, I have come to believe that we need a completely impartial Outside Investigation into the events leading up to 9/11, and the events that transpired because of that Tragic Day.

The "Official" version doesn't seem as rock solid as it once did, and we are still close enough to the event, that the "Truth" is out there. It just needs to be gone over by people who have nothing to gain by agreeing with one version or the other. Perhaps we will see a better, more accurate account of 9/11.

I hope that this series~~beginning with the wikipedia "official" version will give you pause to re-examine what you believe, and perhaps move you to sign the petition to have an actual "independent" investigation into this National Tragedy. The scab needs to be picked off, so that there can be true healing!! Thank you for taking the time to read, and check out the available information!!

Bush Declines To Promise Further Troop Reductions

I was just reading a story that has President Bush declining Saturday to promise more U.S. troop withdrawals from Iraq before he leaves office, and underscored the need for a strong military presence during Iraqi provincial elections in October.

Security has improved markedly since last summer when the last of five Army brigades arrived in Iraq to complete the president's buildup of 30,000 troops. One brigade has already returned home and the four others are to leave by July. What remains unclear is whether Bush will order additional drawdowns in the final months of his presidency. "There is going to be enormous speculation," he said. "My sole criterion is, whatever we do, it ought to be in the context of success."

There is great concern among some of the top commanders, including Admiral Michael Mullen-Chairman Of The Joint Chiefs Of Staff, that the long deployments, and faster than normal rotations back into combat zones, is exhausting, and possibly "breaking" our Military. The fact that the "Surge" worked, was because of the "cop on every block" scenario, but as we draw down the Troops, will there be even more violence than we originally went in to quell. It would seem that the only question we should be asking is what is best for our Troops, not whether they continue to provide cover for an Iraqi government that is woefully lacking in any "Real" resolve to fix their country, and if that were not so, they could have done it by now!!

Democrats Accuse Bush Of Scare Tactics On Surveillance Law

In a story I was just reading. President Bush is lobbying again for an intelligence law allowing government eavesdropping on phone calls and e-mails, as the tone of the dispute between the White House and Congress over terrorist surveillance grew increasingly sharp.

"To put it bluntly, if the enemy is calling into America, we really need to know what they're saying, and we need to know what they're thinking, and we need to know who they're talking to," Bush said at the start of his annual meeting with the nation's governors at the White House.


The law in question targets foreign terrorist threats and allows eavesdropping on communications involving people in the U.S., so long as those people are not the intended focus or target of the surveillance. The latest version of the legislation expired on Feb. 16. Bush and Congress are at odds over whether to give legal immunity to companies that in the past helped the government spy on customers without court warrants

Bush wants the House to act on legislation the Senate has passed. That bill provides retroactive protection for telecommunications companies that wiretapped U.S. phone and computer lines at the government's request after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, without court permission.The House version does not provide such immunity.

The Justice Department and Office of National Intelligence said Saturday that telecommunication companies are now complying with existing surveillance warrants. The agencies also said that new surveillance activities under existing warrants will resume "for now," but that the delay "impaired our ability to cover foreign intelligence targets, which resulted in missed intelligence information."


It appears that there is not going to be any resolution to this situation anytime soon, as both sides have laid out their positions, and seem unwilling to compromise!!

Will Bush Plan Forestall Recession

There is a story I was just reading about whether or not the proposed Bush stimulus package will forestall a recession.

President Bush, acknowledging the risk of recession, embraced about $145 billion worth of tax relief Friday to give the sagging economy a "shot in the arm. "


Bush said such a growth package must also include tax incentives for business investment and quick tax relief for individuals. And he said that to be effective, an economic stimulus package would need to roughly represent 1 percent of the gross domestic product, the value of all U.S. goods and services and the best measure of the country's economic standing.

I am sure that most of us are hoping to avoid a recession, but I wonder if all of us are on the same page. I am sure there are some Democrats(not All) who are hoping the economy will tank, so it will once again be an election about "pocket book" issues, remember "it's the economy, stupid" that brought Bill Clinton to office; and the war, rather than on who is the better candidate for this country. We shall see if this works, and working in retail, I have seen the downturn, and hope for a vibrant economy by Spring!!
