Is Obama Another Biden

Is Obama turning into another "Joe Biden" whose plagiarism in college, cost him credibility, and in 1988 on the campaign trail However, the campaign ended when he was accused of plagiarising a speech by Neil Kinnock, then leader of the British Labour Party. Though Biden had correctly credited the original author in all speeches but one, the one where he failed to make mention of the originator was caught on video. I use Joe Biden as an example, in part, because I supported him in 1988, and thought he would have been a good President. The plagiarism was not that big a deal to me, because he "had" given credit on other occasions, and he could have just forgot, but in fact it cost Biden his campaign.

But Sen. Barack Obama said Monday that he doesn't think it's a big deal that he borrowed lines from his friend Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, although he probably should have given him credit.

Patrick said during his gubernatorial campaign a year and a half ago that words matter, like "I have a dream" and "all men are created equal." Obama used the same lines Saturday night in Wisconsin. Obama said that Patrick suggested he use the lines to respond to Hillary Rodham Clinton's suggestion that Obama is more of a talker than a doer.

As pointed out in the story the problem with Obama plagiarizing Patrick, is that Obama's appeal is based in large part on his rhetorical skills. I will not deny finding this story very interesting, as I am not an Obama supporter, due to his extreme socialistic core. I think Hillary has a similar core, but I think her Realpolitick side would override the worst of her tendencies, whereas Obama the "true" believer would not! I may be wrong (again), but that is how I see Obama! Anyway it should be fun watching him "talk" his way out of this plagiaristic episode, or will he have too? Will the main stream media, who are his biggest boosters protect him, or will their journalistic vulturism override their hero worship, and force them to take a "real" look at who he is inside?! Should be an interesting few days, to see how this story is played!
