Romney Suspends Campaign

In what is getting to be a daily frustration of limited to no wifi, I am getting to the point where I am posting "history" instead of current events, and need to make some kind of changes, before I dash my computer against the wall:)

Anyway onto this history post:
Was anyone else surprised that Mitt Romney dropped out of the race yesterday afternoon? I thought that he had such disgust toward McCain, that he was going to take this to the wire.

So Mitt Romney suspended his faltering presidential campaign on Thursday, effectively sealing the Republican presidential nomination for John McCain. "I must now stand aside, for our party and our country," Romney told conservatives.

"If I fight on in my campaign, all the way to the convention, I would forestall the launch of a national campaign and make it more likely that Senator Clinton or Obama would win. And in this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign, be a part of aiding a surrender to terror," Romney told the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington.

Will the others drop out or will they stay in to try and bargain for a place on the ticket, or a "cabinet" position if McCain should win. The race is getting very interesting, as many thought that it would be the Democrats with a quick winner, and the Republicans faltering to the convention. How a few weeks changes everything, and the next few weeks should be even more exciting!!
