Who Are The GREEN Candidates For 2008

Are you looking for a candidate who is eco-friendly, or one who sticks to the status quo? I found a story in my mailbox this morning that goes into detail on each of the remaining candidates, and reports on their ratings, and actions in dealing with environmental issues.

If you're not sure where presidential contenders, Democratic or Republican, stand on environmental issues, it's not surprising. There has been little discussion in the debates.

According to the Natural Resources Defense Action Fund, you're more likely to know what a candidate thinks of UFOs than their position on what we should do about global warming. On Tim Russert's Meet the Press there have been 827 questions to candidates and zero mentioned global warming. Same for George Stephanopoulus on ABC's This Week and Bob Schiefffer on CBS's Face the Nation. CNN's Wolf Blitzer had two questions out of 402 and Chris Wallace on Fox also had two out of 563. Despite mainstream media's coverage, where candidates stand on global warming and our energy future should be a pressing concern for voters. And there are differences between the candidates.

As the race tightens with Super Tuesday looming large tomorrow, perhaps this will assist you in deciding who you like, and more importantly who you will vote for in the primaries, and eventually the general election. I shall post on other issues and their stands, as the process continues!! Thanks!!
